The movie Terminator 2: Judgment Day was very prophetic; we now have drones in the sky gunning people down, robots are evolving on a daily basis, and with Google, Alexa, Siri and Cortana, we’re moving ever-closer to a Skynet-type artificial intelligence overthrowing the human race.
So if James Cameron’s film accurately predicted our future demise, the question remains: who will usher in this imminent human holocaust? Well, in the movie it was all down to a scientist and inventor named Dyson and would you believe it, just like all the other predictions becoming reality, an inventor with that very name exists today!
According to T2, in order to prevent Judgement Day from occurring, someone has to stop Dyson from creating his evil machines and it seems to me that somewhere between Dyson Ltd and the Dyson Institute of Technology we have the real-life counterpart to Cyberdyne.
It may have started with unassuming cyclone technology, followed by the ball, and the bladeless fan, but it’ll all escalate until Dyson’s dastardly machines kill us all (especially now that they’re cordless).
The future sucks.
