It’s not Lil Kim… it’s not Nas… and it’s not DMX… no, it’s Lil Nas X in this week’s Behind The Lyrics segment… yeah!
Lil Nas X’s ditty “Old Town Road” has been a huge success but did you know that the song title is incorrect? That’s right, this title was used to cover up the true lyrics which if you don’t know are:
“I’m gonna take my horse to the hotel room, I’m gonna ride ’til I can’t no more”
Take a listen to the track once more and you’ll now hear the real lyrics…
Most people don’t know that this song is about a man’s unrequited love for his stallion and since bestiality is illegal in most states, the song title had to be changed. Once you know that fact dear readers, the line “I got the horses in the back” begins to take on a whole new meaning.
No wonder Billboard refused to class this song as “Country” music; that kind of thing never happens in the country, it only occurs in rickety old stables between rapist red-neck hicks and nags, and that’s not the kind of image Billboard wants to associate with their beloved genre!
And doesn’t Lil Nas X know how utterly impossible it is to get a horse into a deep south hotel room without your security deposit being taken, especially if you’re black? Silly Billy.
He also says he got a “Wrangler on my booty” – it’s a goddam orgy I tell you! 🍆🍆🍆🐴🐴🐴
Of course you’d need a horse wrangler in that situation, otherwise it’d be chaos in the hotel room. Getting him on your booty is a step too far though.
